How to Bow Market?

There is no one way to Bow. With over 30 small businesses, there are limitless possibilities for eating, drinking, shopping, and getting to know the neighborhood.

Bow Market is a place of places. Our businesses are run by individuals with individual lives and individual hours. Every day — from 8:00am to midnight — there is something to see or do at Bow! If you’re looking for something in particular, we recommend checking out the links below.

Why is Bow Market?

In 2024, we ran a call for art that spoke to the value of "Small is Beautiful"

Bow Market is built around the belief that small businesses run by individuals from the community are beautiful.

The Bow Market Team

We’re a dedicated, tight-knit team working behind the scenes at Bow, here’s a bit about what we do here

Zach Baum

Co-owner

My job is to support all the people who make this such a wonderful place that I love so much. Their success means that this will remain a place to be enjoyed by my neighbors, my friends, and my family for years to come.

When I first started working on Bow Market, people would ask what my background was and how I got into this work. I would say it was my experience in project management and leave it at that. Really it’s that I come from a family of community minded people who love to host a party.

All year my folks were going to this PTA meeting, raising money for that school group, and coaching every Little League team. Every summer, we were throwing blowout barbecues for the neighborhood across ours and our neighbors yards.

Matt and I met and immediately bonded over the shared ethos of loving the place you live and working within it to make it better. We grew up in the small businesses that animated our respective upbringings and are honored to provide a home for so many business owners to start, operate, and grow their businesses and their lives.

Matt Boyes-Watson

Co-owner

At Bow Market and across all my projects, I focus on creating human-scale spaces that support the people who bring them to life. Inspired by the souks of Marrakech, Bow Market transformed a vacant garage into a vibrant public courtyard surrounded by small, owner-operated businesses. Alongside Zach and our incredible team, we blend creative design and development with hands-on, thoughtful operation.

Whether through Bow Market, Flagg Street Studio, or Popportunity, my goal remains the same: to create spaces where people can thrive. I’m proud of the work we do to lower barriers and help entrepreneurs bring their visions to life.

Carlie Febo

Director of Marketing & Lead Photographer

If you find your way to Bow’s social media, website, or newsletter, then you have found my corner of the market! I have been leading the charge on everything media & marketing at Bow since 2021. I support Bow businesses through photography, digital marketing, content creation, and relationship building.

I fuse my love of community, art, and photography in all that I do. Outside of Bow (and inside) I am an environmental portrait photographer. I have been focusing my photography the past six years around capturing real people doing real things that they are passionate about. I photograph artists, chefs, performers, makers, doers - small business owners of all kinds.

Telling the multiple stories of Bow business owners is truly the highlight of my job. Being able to capture their work with my camera and then shout from the rooftops (our marketing channels) how amazing they are, is a profound joy.

Zola Coleman

Events and Partnerships Director

As the Events and Partnerships Director, I’m privileged to be part of Bow's most exciting moments. Since joining Bow full-time in 2022, my focus has been on curating "space-making" experiences that highlight the diverse cultures, interests, and talents of our unique community. Whether supporting our largest markets, organizing Bow Market-wide corporate events, coordinating birthday parties in the courtyard, or hosting wedding receptions Upstairs, I'm marking our Bow Market calendar and making sure everything goes off without a hitch.

In addition, I manage our partnership and sponsorship initiatives, collaborating closely with both national and local partners to identify opportunities for alignment. From gathering strategic data throughout the year to overseeing month-long brand campaigns or event sponsorships, I work with sponsors and nonprofit collaborators to deliver impactful, experience-driven results.

Growing up in Cambridge, Bow Market holds a special place in my heart. With my love for the city, its people, and food, along with an MBA in marketing and certifications in wine, spirits, and yoga, I bring a holistic approach to hospitality and marketing. I’m excited to continue creating unforgettable memories with everyone at Bow Market. Cheers!

Ana portillo

Facilities Manager

As a Facilities Manager, I oversee the day-to-day operations of building maintenance, safety, and efficiency at the market. I coordinate with teams to ensure everything from repairs to renovations runs smoothly. My goal is to create a functional, safe, and comfortable environment that supports productivity and meets the needs of everyone using the space.

I was drawn to work at Bow Market because of the community-centered approach to small business.  Somer of my favorite things to do at the market is try new menu items from Bow's food businesses and shopping for family holiday gifts on Small Business Saturday.
